About My Works

In my art work the topic is often feelings and experiences, mine and others, thoughts, gender, sexuality, socialization, culture, violence, oppression, relationships, friendship, communication and beauty.
I think one of the most important role of art is to connect people together and strengthen us, to show solidarity against oppression and violence. Show something true, something that lets someone know they are not alone or draw attention to something. I also think a lot about colors, shapes, composition. Lightness and weight and how different textures work together. Humor also often appears in my works.
